Shot 2	Statistics will be said and car noises played when there is no talking.	Cars driving along the road (time laps and normal footage)
Shot 3	Vox pop questions and answers.	Footage of the public answering the questions.
Shot 4	Voice over of statisics.	Graphics with statistics and graphs showing what the voice over is saying.
Shot 5	Car crash noises and voice over talking about the dangers of driving and statistics about crashes.	A montage of car crashes to highlight the dangers and reinforce what the voice over is saying.
Shot 6	Ria concluding the news package and signing off.	Ria walking towards the camera and then it panning away from her to a view of something.

To practice the different ways in which news companies use different shots and techniques, we completed a short task to create a new package about Pens. In this we mainly focused on cutaways shots.

Today we started to use Storyboardthat, it is a software to make storyboards for our news package. We found that the storyboard is very easy to use and it enables us to do what we need it do.

Creating the opening sequence - Lauren

When making our second draft of our opening sequence we put images flying across the screen, this was originally done on adobe after effects:

Then we decided it would be easier to do the same sequence of images but on adobe premier elements:

We decided to do this as we thought trying to transfer it from one software to another would be more difficult than just putting the same sequence on adobe premier elements.  Also this allowed us to keep all the footage we had in the same place and we had more experience using adobe premier.
