Controlled measures
|
During one of our shots we
will have one of our group members driving towards another member.
|
Caryss, Lauren, Sophia and
Ria (CLSR)
|
The driver may not stop in
time so there might be an accident.
|
Not make sure none of our
group members are at risk, the car is going to be traveling at 10mph and then
when editing we will speed up the footage.
|
The driver (our group
member)
|
Lauren
|
If there are bad weather
conditions or any distractions could be at risk of an accident.
|
Checking the weather
before filming, make sure we plan everything correctly. Make sure she is
wearing a seatbelt and that all distractions are away. Driving at the speed
limit or under.
Our group member will be driving at 5- 10 mph , there will alsways be a set point of where she would stop ( the tree)so that there would be no accident. We also made sure that she has her driving license for a suitable period of time (4 months) We also checked that the cars MOT had been done recently. |
When filming we must be
carful of on coming cars.
|
CLSR
|
As a group we may be
concentrating on the footage and not realising what is going on around us. As
we are filming near roads there could easily be accident if we’re not alert
to our surroundings.
|
When crossing roads we
must be aware of what is going on around us.
|
When filming we stay out
of the way of members of the public so we don’t put them at risk.
|
Members of the public
|
When filming we could get
in the way of the public as we are using a tripod, members of the public may
trip over it.
|
We must have a member of
our group by the tripod at all times.
|
Trip hazard
|
CLSR
|
There is a risk of falling
over and injuring ourselves or breaking equipment.
|
Make sure we look where we
are going. Depending on weather conditions for example ice, certain areas
will be slippy.
|
Weather
|
CLSR
|
We can’t film; the driver
from our group won’t be able to see where she is going.
|
We are going to check the
weather, before filming, so we can prepare for all possibilities.
|
Equipment
|
Damage of the equipment
|
Can’t keep filming. Can get an electric shock if equipment gets
wet.
|
Make sure we keep out equipment
in a waterproof bag and out of poor weather conditions to prevent any damage
to the equipment or to ourselves.

Health and Safety Assessment - Caryss and Sophia
Thursday, 11 December 2014
Location
https://www.thinglink.com/scene/599543711864455170
As part of the research and planning we have to decide where we wish to film and if there are any complications with filming in the location. By doing this we have eliminated any chance of filming somewhere we are not allowed to.

Research of similar products and target audience - Sophia

After the test
- Encourage your young driver to take further training
- Encourage them to take out telematics-based motor insurance
- Consider making a Parent/Young Driver Agreement
- Increase their supervised experience by letting them drive you on family trips
Below is a video on youtube that helps new drivers with insurance, this is similar to what we intend to make. However we wont just be focusing on insurance we will also show statistics to new drivers and also giving adice to young and new drivers on the road.
This video is also of driver advise for new and young drivers some topics that are covered in the video include ; what car should a young driver buy for a first car, he also talks about whether to get a manual or an automatic.
The problem with this video and how ours will be different;
- He gives good advise but the audience will get bored very quickly and probably stop watching
- The video isn't very visual
- the video is too long and he woffels too much so the audience of new and young drivers may loose interest.
This is another wesite to show driver help

Our Target Audience
Our target audience is new and young drivers who may be beginning to learn to drive or maybe have already past their test and just need some advise on insurance and general questions that need answers.- Sophia
